Cricket for all - Criced i bawb

Vale Cricket Club plays its senior cricket in the South East Wales Cricket League.

The Vale runs three senior XIs which play cricket on a Saturday afternoon. The league season starts in May and runs through to early September. We play a number of friendly fixtures in April (weather permitting). In February and March we practice indoors weekly at Cowbridge School. New members are very welcome to come along to these evenings.

The club will also be playing in a local T20 league on a Wednesday evening and playing a number of friendly fixtures on a Sunday.

In 2018 Vale successfully launched a women's soft ball cricket team and hosted our first women's festival.  Over the last 2 years this section has grown and we are now playing league cricket as well as hosting our annual Women's and Girls' soft ball festival.

2019 was a very successful year for the club with all three senior sides being promoted - 1st and 2nds as champions.

Our 2020 season was truncated due to the pandemic but we enjoyed a short season of cricket in which we introduced a number of new members to the club. If you are interested in joining our club please click here for our senior, women and girls and social membership form.

Vale Cricket Club has a well developed and thriving youth structure supported by a team of qualified coaches. The club has over 100 junior members and field junior teams at U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 age groups.

We also participate in the ECB All Stars Cricket initiative for girls and boys age 5 to 8.

Indoor nets run from February until early April for all age groups after which we practice weekly on our ground in Corntown. Structured cricket for all age groups is provided as well as the opportunity, for the older juniors, to play for the senior sides at weekends.

If you would like to join our junior section please click here for a membership form.
